Varicose and
Spider Veins Treatment in Croatia
Welcome to my web
pages. As a physician
(interventional radiologist - phlebologist), I perform varicose
and spider veins treatment using minimally invasive, ultrasound
guided office based procedures:
- Veins Laser Therapy
- Radiofrequency Ablation
- Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy (UGFS)
- Ambulatory Phlebectomy
These procedures have been developed during the first decade
of the 21th century and, gaining a large popularity, have
nowadays widely replaced traditional varicose veins surgery
('stripping'). The main
advantages of these procedures over stripping are:
- you do not need to stay in hospital after the procedure
- you do not need to undergo general anesthesia - it is
sufficient to use local anesthesia, or, sometimes, not to use
any anesthesia at all -
you can get back to your everyday activities/work in a day or
two after treatment - the
rates of success are comparable to surgery, but the
complications rates and postoperative discomforts are
significantly lower I'm a
Croatian pioneer in this field, and during the last 3 years I
have treated varicose veins in more than 150 patients. I
fulfilled the necessary requirements regarding education in
European Union countries to perform these procedures.
